ABOUT OUR SUNDAY  SERVICES                                                Sunday Services:        Meditation:10:30 to 10:45am                                                                                       Worship Service: 11:00 am                                                                                       Fellowship time follows at noon.   The Unity Burbank Center for Spiritual Awareness operates on a Lay Leadership model.  We have a group of four inspiring speakers who rotate through each month.  We have one overriding theme for each month and a "book-of-the-month" from whence the theme is drawn.  Our congregation is invited to read the book-of-the-month, and a discussion group meets during fellowship time on the fourth Sunday of the month. You can find the theme and book we are currently working with on our "Events Calendar" page here.   Rev. Jenenne Macklin   Rev. Jenenne R. Macklin, spiritual leader, teacher and clinical therapist, has a unique way of empowering individuals to transcend limitations and achieve greater success in living healthy abundant lives.  She is a dynamic speaker with an indomitable desire to guide others to a deeper, more personal experience of the Inner Presence.  She teaches principles that uplift and empowers all people to achieve greater joy, success, love and peace in their lives.  Rev. Jenenne is the founder/spiritual teacher of her own sacred space Living in the Light Spiritual Center for 12 years having facilitated retreat, workshop and conference and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in private practice.  She draws on her years of experience, accumulated knowledge and her personal journey of empowerment to empower others. David Matthew Brown   David is a Unity FM Radio host and noted peace activist.  An award winning poet, writer and speaker, David Matthew Brown A.L.S.P. is a licensed spiritual counselor from Agape International Spiritual Center.  He leads meditation and stillness workshops, classes, and seminars with businesses and private clients and is currently conducting a workshop in PLAYFULNESS around the country.  Davids radio show, INSIDE OUT has been on the air for 3 years and he has  interviewed over 250 people; he has built an impressive guest list and a large audience who follow the message.  INSIDE OUT can be heard Wednesday s at 8am PST on Unity.fm, on demand, and as a podcast available through iTunes, thereafter.   David is also the spokesman for The Peace Alliance and is campaigning for a Department of Peace in America.  His efforts are documented at his blog, Running for Peace at http://inwardpeace.blogspot.com. Jimmy Burns Jimmy Burns is one of our own here at The Unity Burbank Center for Spiritual Awareness.  He has been a member of what was The Unity Church of North Hollywood & Burbank since 1994.  He was drafted and trained to be an assistant to the minister by Reverend Sheila Christly.  Reverend Sheila then trained Jimmy to lead the guided meditation during service.  After Reverend Sheilas retirement the church changed locations and ministers. Revered Stan Howse became our spiritual leader and quickly encouraged and mentored Jimmy to start delivering the Sunday lesson on occasion.  Jimmy has also fulfilled duties of being on the board, which lead to becoming Vice President and then President.  He has also taken a variety of Unity classes including The Quest, 4T, and a Leadership class taught by Reverend Stan.  I feel that sharing the lesson on Sunday is just one of many ways to be of service to our spiritual center. Because of Jimmy's occupation as a stand-up comedian and our Spiritual Center's love of snacks after service and monthly pot lucks, be prepared to come "Eat, Learn & Laugh."  Not necessarily in that order.     Prayer Circle: If you are in need of special prayers, please call Phyllis Marks at 818-241-7922.  All prayer requests are confidential.  Your request is prayed on for 30 days and then to sent to Silent for another 30 days.
